Kèr àjgàm (/əʤ/ /gəm/ [colony] [peach]) is a subtropical Town located in the Síhvqulu Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Kèr àjgàm is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr àjgàm was founded by Pigeneth Fluell Lewis Gruffudd, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr àjgàm has a yearly average temperature of 30°C (86°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 34°C (93°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 26°C (78°F). Kèr àjgàm receives an average of 173 cm/y (68 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Kèr àjgàm covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1004 m (3293 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kèr àjgàm was founded durring the late 13th century in winter of the year 1168, by Pigeneth Fluell Lewis Gruffudd. The establishment of Kèr àjgàm was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Pigeneth Fluell Lewis Gruffudd electing to pay people to resettle in Kèr àjgàm.

Kèr àjgàm was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr àjgàm is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Kèr àjgàm is is constructed arround a semi-circular crampt flagstone mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The town's frontieer-style defences are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the town's defences.

A look around Kèr àjgàm is like a look into a broken heart. There is no planning, no organization. Everyone here clearly goes about their own thing with little thought to anyone around them who isn’t selling something they need. It’s not malicious. Heads are hung. Eyes are empty. Something truly horrible happened here once upon a time and the town never healed.

Kèr àjgàm has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Life is hard in Kèr àjgàm. Its people are impoverished compared to their peers elsewhere. Something is making the locals stay, however, whether fear of the alternative, hope for a better future, or a stubborn attachment to their ancestral lands. Whatver the reason, living in this harsh area for generations has made the people of Kèr àjgàm a notably resourceful and hearty people.

Kèr àjgàm's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used which employed abundant symbolic geometry, using pure forms such as the circle and square, and plans are based on often symmetrical layouts featuring rectangular courtyards and halls. These structures were is decorated with carved stone or stucco reliefs and made use of colorful stone mosaics..

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is short in Kèr àjgàm.

Kèr àjgàm's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves performance art to channel Illusion energies of tier 2 via recitation of scripture.
